Rainwater harvesting tank commissioned

Richard Mwesige3 April 20262 min read

Until this term, water for drinking, cooking and handwashing was carried from a spring twenty minutes away, usually by the older pupils, often during lesson time.

A 10,000 litre tank now collects rain from the roof of the largest classroom block. With two rainy seasons a year it should stay full for most of the school calendar.

Handwashing stations have been set up outside the latrines and the kitchen.
