How volunteer groups are prepared, and why it matters

Every volunteer who comes to Nyantaboma completes safeguarding training and a background check before they travel, and works alongside a member of staff at all times.
We are honest with groups about what a short visit can achieve. Volunteers do not replace teachers. They support reading groups, run sports and arts sessions, and put in hard days on the building site. Many go on to become sponsors and fundraisers, which is where the lasting difference is made.
And yes, there is a weekend in Queen Elizabeth National Park at the end. You will have earned it.
